isn’t it weird, that you cannot hold a cup of coffee because the cup is so hot that it burns, but drinking the coffee is no problem! #FirstWorldProblems?
@carsten the opposite happens here all the time. The cup is fine, but the coffee is normally too hot to sip. That often happens because it has been brewed wrong. The optimum temperature to brew coffee is below boiling point (but close), somewhere around 90° to 93°C.
@david I do not know how hot the coffee actually is when it comes out of the machine. It's an interesting point. I think I can use one of the fishtank digital thermometers to test that. If I remember, I will do in the morning.
