@prologic Good tip, thanks. In my case it was simply if [[ instead of if [ (told ya the brackets always throw me 🤣). But without using any checker tools, and the fact it was working with what turned out to actually be Bash, had me fooled for a bit.
@eldersnake Oh yeah, this is so annoying on Arch. I guess there’s a lot of historical baggage … There is *some* attempt to fix this situation by providing an “alternatives” mechanism, it seems: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/User:Allan/Alternatives But it’s still very much “work in progress”.

@movq @eldersnake Debian/Ubuntu has the alternatives mechanism, never been a fan on it.
