Outside view of a special skinny door between two buildings, traps wind and funnels it into the kitchen as a lovely breeze. Part of the our pantry addition too,.
@off_grid_living Very nice! So what I didn't really get, this small door opening, is this just temporary? So will it be closed in and then be part of the pantry? Or are you going to leave it as a door? Maybe an escape hatch if the kitchen is on fire. :-P
I just measured the doors here, they're 815mm wide. 60cm is quite narrow, but it will work in a pinch. On the other hand, it keeps you motivated not to get too fat. It's a self-regulating system, once you've eaten too much, you can't reach the kitchen anymore until you slimed down. Quite clever. ;-)
@lyse since to get to the kitchen and eat, you have to first go through the door, I consider it a potential death trap (though not really death). You come in, all skinny and all, and get to eat in the kitchen. When you are full, you can't get out, so must wait, but when you are slim enough to get through you are hungry again. Repeat this process until you run out of food, without ever getting out of the kitchen. 🤣
@fastidious Oh no, this plan is severely flawed! You're absolutely right.
Once a king captured by another king, was offered freedom if he could fit through a tiny door, the king gave the prisoner king meals every day, and the prisoner never managed to lose weight. The door is going to be used as a cat walk outside, but is mostly designed to open breezes trapped in the outside walls. It works a treat.
@off_grid_living That's a nice king and prisoner story. Yep, for a cat that opening should be plenty big enough. For the breeze to enter anyways.
@lyse I have seeing dogs on @off_grid_living before, I don't think he has a cat (I might be wrong, though). A cat walk is not for a cat. It simply means a narrow way in and out. :-)
@fastidious Hahaha, I clearly didn't know that term. :-D Thank you for the explanation!
I am glad you guys are having fun with word pictures.
