Whoops, the Cholorophilia series went to hibernation the last weeks. Sorry! Now for #13 in this series I have some larger ants for you that are in a big woodpecker carved tree hole. 
Ants in a tree with lots of resin and spider webs around the opening Some of them got into the resin and had bad times. I tried to rescue them with a twig, but with very limited success. Once fished out, some went straigt back into the dangerous cave. It was quite crazy to feel the small straw shaking by the powerful ants clamping on the other side. More shots of that day back in May. It was quite an eventful day since I featured the newts already in Chlorophilia #9.
