Lesson 125: Muay Boran Clinch Escape (part 1)
In ancient Muay Thai there are techniques applied to and from clinching, such as clinch escapes to counter and disengaged. Just as in modern Muay Thai, it is important to understand clinching, as well as, escaping from it. Ancient Muay Thai basic escape principles include using your whole body to leverage and get rid of the clinching arm. In this case, weave as you go down and push off your legs, push off the arms all at the same time, then escape and counter.
