@xandkar I _think_ its based on global scores if I'm not mistaken. There are "Ordering" settings on the leaderboard itself. @lyxal set this up and by default I _think_ it uses some global stats but churns it down to a subset.

@prologic @xandkar it has the same point scoring rules as the global leaderboard: the first person in the local group to solve the days challenge gets the most, the second person gets a less amount of points and so on until the 100th person

If you add or remove users, the points will be recalculated, and the order can change. For N users, the first user to get each star gets N points, the second gets N-1, and the last gets 1.
