(1) You go to the store and buy a microwave pizza. You go home, put it in the microwave, heat it up. Maybe it's not quite the way you like it, so you put some red pepper on it, maybe some oregano.
Are you a pizza chef? No. Do we know what your cooking is like? Also no.
(2) You create a prompt for StableDiffusion to make a picture of an elephant. What pops out isn't quite to your liking. You adjust the prompt, tweak it a bunch, till the elephant looks pretty cool.
Are you an artist? No. Do we know what your art is like? Also no.
The elephant is "fake art" in a similar sense to how a microwave pizza is "fake pizza". That's what I meant by that word. The microwave pizza is a sort of "simulation of pizza", in this sense. The generated elephant picture is a simulation of art, in a similar sense, though it's even worse than that and is probably more of a simulacrum of art since you can't "consume" an AI-generated image the way you "consume" art.
All art is a lie. But the art-ifical can point our attention and experience towards (a/the?) truth which cannot been seen or heard in the natural world
@carsten I think nothing of AI in general. Too often AI-stuff turned out to be some kind of fraud. My general opinion of AI is very bad. You don't know how or what the thing "learned", most often something very different than what one would think. Hence, there's no way to fix it if it's broken. And as far as I understand it one doesn't know when it's trained enough. So in my eyes it's a giant waste of resources. Anyways.

@abucci You can consume the image as you can consume any other image. If I print it and put it up next to Van Gogh, Goethe poems, Beethoven notes, it is something you can look at and enjoy, or not.

@xuu So, you are saying I should use the hashtag #GeneratedWithAI or #AiGenerated instead of #AiArt? In the End I used a tool to that created something I like by finetuning the parameters. I still don't get why that is wrong? But everybody has a different opinion.
