From my small experience in writing an event database, I am inclined to agree with this.

@xuu Devils advocate: what value would be really be providing here? Would, for example @lyse and/or @movq switch to following the new Uarn feeds or stick with the truncated unmarked up and out-of-context pure twtxt feeds?

And another weird thing is that yarnd's User-Agent header now contains all sorts of build information: yarnd/0.15.1@7dd5a93e 2023-03-27T00:53:59+10:00 go1.20.3 (~https://… I reckon this is a regression from the version change on the info page I proposed on IRC months ago. Maybe even last year.

What a joy to look in the logs once in a while. :-D
Also, @darch's yarnd is requesting my /twtxt-2022-08.txt every few minutes (interval varies between ~2-5 minutes). Nothing seems to be cached, though, because 200 is sent all the time. Any idea what's going on here and how to fix it, @prologic?~
In yarnd one can block certain URLs. Is there a way to do the same in yarns, @prologic? If so, can you please add https://lyse.isobeef.org/user/lyse/twtxt.txt, http://lyse.isobeef.org and https://lyse.isobeef.org to the yarns blacklist? Especially the first URL spams my error log every hour. It might also be useful to do some housekeeping with other crap URLs: https://search.twtxt.net/stats/feeds/discovered?l=30&q=lyse&s=-failures
Time to get some sleep! Good night to you all!
Today, Ubuntu decided to change the default browser in one of my machines. Again
An option would be to have /twtxt.txt be the base functionality as bukket intended without subject tags, markdown, images and such truncated to 140 chars. a /yarn.txt that has all the extentions as we know and love. and maybe a /.well-known/webfinger + (TBD endpoint) that adds on the crypto enhancements that further extend things.

@darch I think having a way to layer on features so those who can support/desire them can. It would be best for the community to be able to layer on (or off) the features.

@shreyan @prologic I like the way he did that interview, that way they cannot warp what's being said etc.
@funbreaker no need to feel dumb. This is why testing is nice! That being said - ill make a fix for that too :) this is why I appreciate you taking the time to test, because we have now found many things to improve already 😀
@funbreaker I tested now against twtxt with a account I created -it segfaulted if you had a / at the end of the server url.. My bad.. works if you remove the slash. I will fix it in the client so that it removes the slash if it's in the server url.

Blackbird looking at the camera

Please ignore the dirty railing. I simply claim that the blackbird only therefore feels so comfortable!! I just started to wipe it clean but then it began to rain. Gotta finish tomorrow.
@funbreaker Also, did you compile rapidjson from source? Or install the package with your OS? I built the latest version and installed that - if the problem continues now after I fixed the error on my end - then that might be the cause.
@funbreaker I have pushed a fix now to git, I now got rid of the error when I use it on my end. I will create a test account on twtxt later tonight (after dinner and all that) if needed. If you test the latest on your end before that - let me know :) And thanks for your patience.

"so you submit these queries to a massively powerful nonhuman entity" "yes" "and you enter a contract with it beforehand" "I suppose" "and you don't read it" "some people do, but-" "this world is insane, also you'll excuse me but I'll ward up before I touch anything here again"

@prologic haha yeah. I had a good laugh from that.
'You Just Lied': Elon Musk Slaughters BBC Reporter In Live Interview - YouTube As much as I don't hold a very high opinion of Elon Musk (and to be fair I don't actually know him all that well, only what I've read about him and observed), this particular video however is quite hilarious. This (ignoring the Twitter™ nonsense) is hilariously funny and quite on point. "Who decides whether its misinformation anyway?" And "You can't even provide one example" Haha 🤣

@darch case in point, I used to twtxt images before using yarn or markdown tp do it - and markdown isn't making twts like this any less readible.
