@movq It's nice to explore new places. :-) Reminds me of Mundstuhl where they once said: „Und nächstes Mal zeig ich euch, wie ihr eine Ölpest macht“ (can't find it online anywhere).
I'll shut down this instance soon, I want to say thanks to all of you, especially @prologic . It's been fun here, but I do not spend much time here anymore - cutting down on the things I host and use \\ spend time on etc.
I've been using activitypub more - since it's more or less replaced 'x' for me, and can be reached at:

So glad the temperatures are down again. Took a long walk in the woods this morning. I got a bit lost 🤣, but eventually found my way back. The GPS tracker (on my smartphone, sic) later revealed that I was in a completely different area than I thought. 😅
Came across a small pond that looked very oily – much like what @lyse saw a while ago. I tried to take a photo but that smartphone’s camera is too shoddy. 🤣

@movq Oh, very nice! :-) We don't have them around here.
@prologic That's what I was thinking, too. ;-) But no clue how that suddenly happened. Didn't touch the source code for ages.
@lyse Fingers crossed, dude. 🤞

@movq In the beginning that was very strange, since I was a big fan of handshakes. But now that I'm used to it, I rarely do anymore. Basically just if somebody else insists.
So far, I still feel healthy, no signs of the plague.
@prologic I mean not just work. :-) But yeah, I strictly separate personal and work stuff, too.

There are a few moorhens at the local pond. Yesterday, one of their young ones came veeeeeery close to me. Pretty unusual. 🤔 Maybe bad eyesight? It was getting dark already …

Regarding the original issue with my battery: I have some hopes that it’s just a calibration issue. I did a couple of drain-and-recharge cycles and it looks better now. 🤔 The battery isn’t “puffed up”, either. So maybe I can use it for a little while longer …
I didn’t expect that I have to do this, because I sometimes forget about that phone and it completely discharges anyway. 😅 So I would have expected that it’s at least somewhat calibrated. 🤷

Oh, I can understand that. 😅 I’m a bit more egoistic in that regard, though: I often have my phone on silent mode, but I still carry it with me, so that *I* can call an ambulance or something. 😈

This is the primary reason why I NEVER install "Work" apps on my iPhone. I've gotten into the habit for many years now, never to mix work and personal stuff. If I'm not on my Work Macbook, I'm not available -- end of story.

Hmmm, I noticed that tt is incorrectly counting unread messages. There's currently one unread one, but it says 0. When I mark it read, the counter goes to -1. It certainly worked a few weeks back. I probably should work on version 2.
@bender Hahaha! :-D To make it clear, I'm not one of those esoteric radiation jerks. I simply don't have enough use cases to justify one. And then comes the absolutely horrific UX I'm not willing to deal with. Lots of people love it, I just don't. Finally, in this day and age I do enjoy that I'm not reachable everywhere. There's not even a chance of getting distracted. All my good mates don't have an issue with that, at least they do not admit it. ;-) Of course there are people that think I'm silly, but I don't care about them.

@bender It's Germany, there's no middle of nowhere. Sadly. Definitely not where I am. In case of urgent emergencies in nature, somebody is fucked, no doubt. I'm happily taking that risk.
