still hot and humid (no surprise) but more cloud cover today. no kids but beth was able to cheer me on in a couple of places which was fun. the last bit she yelled "five to go!" which kind of got in my head a bit, albeit i think the heat started getting to me some as well. had to take a couple of brief walk breaks just to recollect and focus again. pretty good training run keeping it in the green for the most part and around marathon pace. can't wait to see how cooler weather and more training will pay off!

I feel for ya. I have used tftp for two things in the past. Copying an image to a Cisco router to flash. And doing a network install because I didn't have a flash drive handy.

brutally hot and humid. body was fine for the most part but it definitely had my heart rate high. saw ray on the course pacing someone and talked to him for a bit which was a nice break. i felt good about the run even though it was exhausting. took my quite a while to cool down afterwards.

Today I started my day getting up early, dog woke me up at 08:30, I then went for a 2 hour walk in the forest next to our city center. I hiked through there, down through the city and then around and back to the car. Was nice to see Nanook's progress on walking through the main street, he's can get overwhelmed there at times, and start to jump and nip etc, can be stressful when there is a lot of people around, because he's a big dog. But I have trained a lot on that, because he does the same thing at a parking lot I usually walk through on our regular walks, so each time I've taken that walk I walk through there, and when he starts acting up I just ask him to sit, and when he sits he gets a treat, and we then resume the walk, if he walks fine he gets a new treat, if he acts up I tell him to sit again. I've done this over and over.. And now at our walk through the main street - I could do the same thing, so much less stressful :) And makes it a joy to walk there.
@movq Oh, this is so cool! Of course I knew that in winter days were shorter than nights, but this is the first time I actually see by how much. Super cool visualization, truly loving it! Funny that the clock is as gray as the outside right now. ;-) These days this resolution is indeed sufficient for me, but if I had a train to catch, seconds do count. It doesn't matter too much if you're at the station a couple of minutes earlier because it's delayed anyways. But public transport is always on time when you're late. It's a strict rule. Nah, even required by law.
@eapl.me Now that I slept on it, I do find these thoughts very interesting. Working less in winter seems like a thing I could get used to easily. :-)

@eldersnake That's a really good question. How will 3rd-party players or embeds work if they keep going this way?! 🤔

@movq yeah fair point. I wonder then what will happen with embedding and third party players like NewPipe?

@abucci Oh, that's surprisingly low. We're about 350 meters NHN. Okay, far north makes sense.
@eldersnake That sounds like a weak argument, to be honest. 🤔
As Louis says towards the end, we might just get *yet another* consent screen. And if you don’t consent, you don’t get to watch YouTube. 🤷
I mean, this is what YouTube looks like when you open it for the first time:

That’s already pretty close. All they have to do is remove the “Reject All” button, so there’s no way anymore to watch YouTube without accepting their TOS. 🤷
Since they’re already trying to kick out adblock users, I guess this is what we’ll end up with.
