app.yarn.social for all no matter what kind of device you're on, Desktop, Mobile, Android, iOS whatever. We will keep the current server-side rendered Web Interface in yarnd that ever Pod has, but I _believe_ rewriting the Mobile App as a PWA with the as close-to-as-possible codebase to the rest of yarnd will make maintenance far easier and we can then maintain feature parity far easier.

yarnd Web Interface and the Mobile App (_codenamed Goryon_) is that the Web Interface is _actually_ a server-side rendered UI with the smallest possible Javascript use. We designed it to be lightweight, fast and to gracefully degrade if you do not have Javascript enabled or using some other kind of browser π
(_as best we could_). Goryon however is built with the Flutter Mobile App framework/toolkit, written in Dart (Uggh) and uses the API.Maintaining both codes bases and both UI(s) / Client(s) has become hard.

The hilarious and quite frankly stupid part about this very clever clip
Is that this is exactly what the likes of Mark Zuckerberg and Meta want
They want to be in your mind and in your dreams

This _might_ be really funny, but it's also incredibly horrifying and sad. Why? Because if we as a society are not careful, this is the path we're heading down. Did we ask for this? No. Stand up and fight back for your privacy and basic human rights. Just say "no".

Rest assured, "Trolling" is not illegal in any way so you can't be held liable for something that isn't _actually_ against any known laws. Defamatory remarks however are a different thing entirely, and something that is illegal -- But of course proving that something is defamatory is hard, because you have to prove or disprove that the remarks are true or false.

I also find it interesting the way in which Facebook/Meta's business model and relationship with their customers (_other corporations_) and their Users (_you as the product_) are drawn. Notice how it looks remarkably like the new Metaβ’ logo?! π

00:24:31 into the video and I'm quite thrilled to say that I love this guy π> Most of what you hear about "decentralisation" is bullshit!
Yup! π Web3, Blockchain, NFT, etc are all a big fat joke and a scam! The powers that be that we seek to de-power are just using these technologies as a "front".
> Decentralisation starts with decentralising yourself.
This is a great description! π If we are to extend ourselves into the "digital world" then we must do so with ourselves being the centre of that by peering with others.

I received the following message from our (Australian MP) Julian Simmonds
yesterday via Email (because apparently politicians don't know how to use Social Media π€¦ββοΈ or how to write Blog posts π€£):
message from Julian Simmonds MP > I have been fighting for tougher rules on big tech and new laws that back Australians online. As a result of my advocacy, our government is putting in place online protections that hold social media companies to account and put the power back in the hands of parents.
>
> Under these new powers, social media companies will be declared as publishers, meaning they are liable for any defamatory remarks, unless they actively assist to identify anonymous trolls and resolve disputes.
>
> For parents who have often felt helpless, this means an avenue to unmask the troll targeting and bullying their kids online.
>
> This sends a strong message to those who make toxic comments and slurs online; that they cannot hide! They are no longer anonymous behind the keyboard and will face the consequences of their actions, just as they would in the real world thanks to our new legislation.
