@david It was that fake grass stuff by the resort's main pool. The surface wasn't hot at all though π they seemed to be packing at left over bits of human food dropped on the ground, like chips I think π

@darch Hmmmm I looked at the raw Atom XML here and it looks like there _is_ something there, sadly though it's in HTML so I'm not really sure what we can do with it per se. THe Feeds service in it's current form cannot deal with this. It would require some work to support...

@thecanine speaking of whichβ¦ How do you feel about us rewriting the mobile app entirely from scratch? π€ Call would be to use a very similar CodeBase so that future maintenance is much easier than it is now.

@adi so let me get this striped⦠Your arguments and evidence is that Markdown isn't as flexible as hasht amount correct?
Now let's consider another piece of fact. Markdown is in fact a markup language that is strictly a very restricted subset HTML.
So therefore how can you compare them?
- If Markdown is not HTML. True/l - And Markdown is not suitable for writing complex HTML. True - Then what exactly? What are you trying to assert out of two True statements?

@novaburst based on the quote that you graciously posted, I'll have a read of this later when I can. π€
He is absolutely correct about the complex operational nature of complex software which is one of the reasons why I spend so much time trying to make things operationally easy and simple π

@adi seems like you are trying to convince me, because you're also trying to convince me that you disagree on my opinion which is kind of rude π opinions are individual and therefore my opinion is my opinion so I don't really care that much about your opinion π I empathize and understand that you believe Mark down is ill suited for a single page or a few handful of pages but that is your opinion and your opinion only π€£
That's the thing about opinions we have choices we are humans we have free wills everyone has an opinion π

@mutefall I really loved what you wrote about Yarn.social so much that I booked it! π
This is one of the core principles that drive this project. I really believe in decentralized communities a lot and we try to build a social platform that's down to earth and as human as possible π

But if you want to build form source on Debian, you should be using the the latest version of Debian.
yarnd is actually going to be in the Vultr Marketplace soon π€ and I built a Debian-based VM image for this very purpose you can find here -- Which you _may_ be able to base your own installation off? π€

@david Yes my old man follows me, but I suspect he doesn't make good use of the "Mentions" tab and so drowns in the sea of my many hundreds of Twts I post in reply to the growing community π

@mutefall We love Yarn.social too π There's a history of why I built this, how I came across the spec (Twtxt) that it is built upon and so on. There's also a Future of Yarn.social blog post you _might_ be interested in reading π
