I just put together this quick little beauty which I'll try to refactor as a web app and service at some point over the next coming weekend(s) π

I really highly recommend you spin up even just a test account on my pod over at twtxt.net to get an idea/feel for the value this simple "threading" model brings π
-- At it's simplest, you need only preserve the (#xxxxxxx) subject you _might_ see in a feed you _might_ want to reply to and add to π You are _also_ welcome to install and use yarnc hash as a tool to compute hashes...

@hecanjog You _might_ think you don't need these until you start interacting with many more folks around the greater ecosystem, at last count there's over 500+ active users and growing every day π

@hecanjog Nice one! The next thing you want to do is implement Twt Hash and Twt Subject extensions in your tooling so you can form threads/replies π

@mutefall Yeah but that's still in sane. Because here's the thing. I can order some hardware, shove into a datacenter in a colocation environment and have some ridiculous 10.8PB of storage I can use and sell at a ongoing cost of $0.22/TB -- throw in a little extra for maintenance and bob's ya uncle π€¦ββοΈ

@mutefall Yup you were right, I really hate you now π
(in the nicest way possible π€) Damn! I pay $130/month for 100/40 over Copper last mile (vDSL) where I barely see ~60/~30 + a /29 IPv4 block.

@thecanine What, an unprovoked War and War crimes by Mr Putin and crimes against humanity isn't enough to systematically revoke all of Russia's ability to trade, buy, sell, stockpile, etc? Hmmm π€ Maybe you're right, but here's hoping the relevant CA(s) do the right thing, because it's the right thing to do. Cut them off at the top.

@thecanine No you missed the point, this particular Slashdot article got it all wrong. You don't veoke the .ru gTLD, that _does indeed_ have side effects we don't want. DNS should remain as-is. What we _can_ do however is Certificate Authorities (_of which there are many_) can all revoke their .ru Intermediate Certificates and we can revoke all .ru TLS certificates.
This will make it quite hard to do business and make any secure translations, etc. Hopefully crippling the Russian economy and ending this pointless war.

@thecanine At this point I'm thinking of running my own "Cloud storage" business π
You know something like $0.50/TB for storage. π
