@slashdot That's rather hilarious but also quite scary as this sets a rather worrying trend that corporations are basically more powerful than governments π³

@carsten I think I've always maintained this; Any kind of so-called "Digital ID" really should be held by the owner. not some random "cloud" service (not even a Government one)
think about how you present ID today...

@mckinley Actually... EGO Power are actually really good shit π
They use 48v LiPo batteries (in this nice modular design) and all their "tools" and the motors they use in everything are fully brushless motors.
Essentially, runtimes are long, the motors are very very powerful (you could cut your leg off). They even have a chainsaw (which I have) as well as a powerful blow vac (air) and hedger, and gras trimmer (all of which we have).
The only one of their products that doesn't cut the mustard (so to speak) is the Lawn Mower (not the ride-on one, I'm sure that thing is a powerful beast), which doesn't cut out grass very well, which really is no fault of AGO as our grass is really of a thick and hard to cut variety π

@andreottica Sorry for the English, it's the only spoken/written language I know besides numerous programming languages π
Kind of curious what docs are missing from Yarn.social's landing page -- Where we try to keep more user-facing docs.
There is also the README of yarnd itself as well as a Developer Wiki
What are we missing? What is missing from your mental model of how things work? π€

@andreottica The "Timeline" is your own. It's what you follow.
However each pod (instance of yarnd) has a view called "Discover" which contains what the Pod has pulled from all sources.

@andreottica Hello! π Welcome to Yarn.social π€ To answer some of your questions. Yarn.social _actually_ uses Twtxt as it's primary feed format under the hood. You can easily spin up your own server by following the docs are https://yarn.social and we also have a Vultr App you can spin up easily as well.

@darch A Cache process that is responsible for "converging" Missing Root Twts from peering Pods. It is also designed to "converge" missing Twts in a Yarn (thread) as well (but hasn't been implemented yet).
