I wish you could just buy dumb TVs (PC monitors?) that can't be connected.
I dislike IoT devices. Who's fucking bright idea is it to have white goods connected? What purpose does it really have?
"Hey you can connect your toaster to the internet" ... π€¦

Speaking of Dumb TV(s) -- The _only_ models/brand I am aware of that still fit the bill here are the ones by HiSense. They still (AFAIK) make 'em. I have one, and as long as they keep making bigger, brighter and crisper dumb displays, I'll keep buying them! π

@prologic I still have my 55" Samsung TV that is still going all these years. Paid a pretty penny for it hahaha. Although LG TVs are looking good because now just recently you have the ability to root the TV and remove useless features.
@ullarah I _think_ I still prefer them as "dumb displays" to be honest. It gives me the freedom to plug whatever I like into them via HDMI. It's sort of the same argument as bundlind a Wireless Access Point and Route and Switch in an all-in-one plastic box π
-- I prefer to have separate Switch/Router and Wireless Access Points π
