@thecanine @fastidious Hahaha, yeah, the Aussie winter is fabulous! :-D And we soft Europeans really need it over there. Once the pandemic is "over" in two or three years (being optimistic) we could actually get there. Alternatively we might do the camp in the Snowy Mountains or even at Mount Kosciuszko. I've been up there at its summit in Aussie autumn and it was quite nice actually. @prologic As much as I really enjoy this idea, it's probably a rather big undertaking. Both logistically and moneywise. Each continent might do a camp separately, though.
Ah shit, that's not gonna work, I forgot: No wood-fires and no camping within 200 metres Mt. Kosciuszko summit!
No camping in glacial lake catchments and within 200 metres Rawson Pass either! At least back in May 2014.
@lyse I can live without the wood fires, all I need is a comfy hotel, and a good rental vehicle. Other than that, I can trek. Lovely weather on that picture. Strikes me as cold, and dry.
@lyse Ah, no wood fires? We'd have to bring some coal and gasoline than. 😏
