[M [03;04;07]: Long run](https://staystrong.run/user/bmallred/activity/68d8df46-83f0-484d-aaf9-712c862f6cf3): 16.03 miles, 00:08:58 average pace, 02:23:34 duration
my ankle, achilles, and calves were fine walking but really tight the first three miles of the run. kept it light for the first half and then attempted marathon or slightly quicker pace. it was a little hard at times but comfortably discomfortable? all-in-all it was a pretty good run. on the last mile stretch a car pulled up i didnt recognize and i saw a hand waving but nothing else. they then sped off and did a u-turn and waved again but through tinted windows. ha, my bad for not knowing who it was or maybe they thought it was someone else. /shrugs

[47°09′22″S, 126°43′23″W] Storm recedes -- back to normal work
Wasn't bad at all. With long underwear, a thick working jacket, of course gloves, beanie and scarf I didn't feel cold at all. I was walking and moving around all time, so I even sweated a little bit. We were mostly done until noon. All in all, good fun actually.
On the way home I took a detour via the woods to enjoy the beautiful winter scenery. The white trees look just so amazing. Light was already fading, in person it was several times better. Tomorrow, I have to redo all the macros.

We're collecting christmas trees with the scouts today and dispose of them at the green waste site. It's gonna be chilly at -6°C on top of the truck beds, I will tell you that. However, years ago we picked the coldest day of the year and had to deal with -15°C. A very different situation. This morning we even got a little snowfall, first one of the year. Footpaths are covered in a centimeter thin white layer. Gotta gear up.
@xuu I never read the RFC, but I'm absoutely not surprised regarding complexity. :-(
@stigatle Ah, I see. Happy extending then. :-)

@lyse I have read the white papers for MLS before. I have put a lot of thought on how to do it with salty/ratchet. Its a very good tech for ensuring multiple devices can be joined to an encrypted chat. But it is bloody complicated to implement.

@lyse , we’re just adding more fence on top, the top of fence is over the snow, and the poles are higher, so I can work with it regardless of snow :) i just ziptie the extra fence, so easy to work with
@stigatle But that's a project for another time, isn't it? One and a half meters of snow, holy crap, you can't replace the fence with that much snow on the ground. Maybe only fix a few things at the upper section of the fence. In fact, you might not even need a ladder now. :-D
Bought some more fencing for the garden, need to make it a bit higher some places, so that our husky can spend more time there, a couple of places has been a bit flimsy, time to fix it :) If he really wanted - he could easily get over, but he just likes to stay in the garden, and does never mess with the fence (wire mesh fence, wooden poles in the ground). Also have a long chain as well (that's as long as the garden) but he does not want to have that one one (and it's under 1.5m of snow now). If he ever jumps over or digs himself out I'll get one of long wires that goes overhead that I can attach one of those pulleys \ leash too, that'll be better then a long chain.

[47°09′04″S, 126°43′08″W] Weather forecast alert -- storm from SW
Quite cold, but hardly any wind, so -4°C weren't too terrible. Very hazy, though, all you could see was a white wall. There was a tiny bit of snow at the summit. In contrast to two weeks ago, only very few people were outside today. Much appreciated.
