@prologic You're set! Especially being you're a self-hoster in as much as you can, I assume the old connection was a bottle neck sometimes?

It really does need viable competition. It's a difficult one though, because it has by virtue of it being of the best early video sites in town and subsequent popularity, an absolute treasure trove of content, as bender says. But all owned by now what is a jackass company that loves being a monopoly.

Sadly the only way it changes is the people that post content on there move it all to other viable places, old and new, like mass migration. I don't see how that happens, especially when content creators don't want to lose the ad-revenue. But hopefully something gives eventually.
I went to the dairy farm and back in 50 minutes. It was suprisingly dark. Luckily, I walked the forest paths a hundred times, otherwise it would have been very hard to find my bearings a few times. On the way home I wanted to shortcut over the meadow, but then realized that there were grazing sheep. I took a detour to not wake them up. This quick walk was very well needed to blow the cobwebs away.

@prologic I believe it. I don’t watch YT at all. Yet, it is extremely popular. It is the go to for my 78 years old father-in-law to learn how to repair all kind of things. Kids watch gamers in it, and instructive videos (science, tech, history, etc.). It has little, to no competition.

went out easy. HR was around 149 until stopping for a traffic light. afterwards it was consistently mid- to high- 160's. overall effort was still minimal, but maybe higher HR was due to the congestion i seem to have picked up the last couple of days?

@mckinley’s btrfs issues made me realize:

While I do have a couple of system widgets visible at all times (showing RAM usage, CPU usage, …), I do *not* have a widget for disk space anymore. Haven’t had one for a *very* long time. 🤔 Disks running out of space isn’t really an issue anymore, it appears …

Oof? That would be a pretty horrible bug. 😳

I just played with a btrfs volume for a bit and tried to “break” it, but I just got ENOSPC and everything worked as expected. (Would have been really weird, though, if I were able to find bugs with just a few tests.)
