@prologic HAHA! Couldn't say it better. I started abandoning main stream social media as soon as is it stopped feeling like connecting and sharing with other human beings and became an urge for feeding an algorithm and hoping for it's blessing to get a glimpse of human interaction _It_ deems worthy of having.

Today we went to my mom's camper, we spent the day there, Marlyn and kids took the car, I took the motorcycle. We spent the day there outside, playing minigolf, eating pizza, walk the dog, and my stepdad went fishing with the kids as well. All in all it was a great day :)

@aelaraji Because we don't have milk crates here in Germany. :-D At least I never came across them for milk, just the cardboard boxes for the milk tetra paks. But they don't hold the weight of a monitor.
@movq LOL²!
my memex db is 2.7GiB... which is a bit much
today i will start trying to extract my dots from my memex database and manage the dependency tree entirely using nix flakes
@bender Oh! 🤔 Hmmm I'd better check the data directory. Not sure what happened there 😢

@prologic his feed shows not found. Is that because it rotated, and he hasn't posted anything since?
@bender He's doing alright 👍 Thanks for ask'n ! 🙇♂️

@prologic how’s the old man doing? I have him muted, LOL, but used to unmute every once in a while when he would post stuff he was working on. Hoping he is well!
And of course, everything got slower after the update. It’s always the same pattern.

Okay. The house is properly cleaned up. There are 77 users on this pod, 34 inactive and 12 active. That's a good effort I _think_. Maybe some of those folks that haven't been around for a while, but were pretty decent folks to talk to and interact with may come back. For example @off_grid_living 😅

@aelaraji I do and we (royal asshole we) still use and abuse people's data even today right?! 🤣
Why should or would I want to join that evil fucked ip crowd 😅
To me as a self-hosted enthusiast its noise and wasteful.

Smart TV é um bom negócio desde que nunca a liguemos à net. Os preços são atractivos porque os fabricantes recorrem à recolha e venda dos dados dos clientes. Ao mantê-la como uma TV burra, compensa

@stigatle Enjoy the time off! I reckon I should also plan for some vacation in the near future.
Why buy a Standing Desk when you can just set up a cardboard box on your regular desk for your keyboard and a milk crate for your monitor? 😆

@prologic @xuu Hmm, looks like this fix was based on my unsuccessful attempt to repair it, hence heaps of tests are failing when I run make test. I will look into that.
@prologic Remember when we used to lose access to e-mail, IM and forum accounts after 30 days of inactivity? 😂 ... Then storage became cheaper and companies figured out that any tiny bit of someone's data is worth something to someone(thing) else. 🥲

@prologic just pick one, but have it show the picked way consistently. Right now I often see the short handle, and the long handle, for users on the same pod, in a very inconsistent manner. That’s what I am talking about.
