@darch It doesn't really work though. I can't explain why right now (_heading out to table-tennis_) but it just doesn't. This "form" is good for just quoting things, but there's no authorship, the content addressing just gets weird and numerous other niggling little issues. I really don't think the Twtxt format is suitable as a "multi-user" format for allowing one or more persons to post to or "somehow" represent such.

@darch Yeah but I don't think we can do this as. feed. It doesn't work. It would have to be a specific yarnd feature, which I'm not really liking too much either.

When you search for "Yarn Social" on Googleβ„’ πŸ˜… The top two results are:

1. Yarn.social -- This decentralised social media platform we've built up over the last couple of years and still going strong, based on the Twtxt format and Extended

πŸ’‘ Idea for Yarn.social / Twtxt Search Engine: I bet I _could_ build a way to create "saved search filters" and "subscribe" to those search results as a Twtxt feed itself that you _could_ follow in _any_ Twtxt client (including Yarn.social pods of course) Hmmm πŸ€”

πŸ“£ Updates to Search Engine:

- Remove the default fuzziness of 1 (but see below)
- Fixed several bugs in the pager (trying searching for "Hello World" and sort by "Oldest")
- Try to auto-detect the type of the query string by parsing it as a query string, if that fails default to match query...

This last feature GuessQueryType() now allows advanced users to type in a Query String query and letting the backend figure out that's what you meant. So for example you can search for terms with fuzziness quite easily by just typing in the search box: fuck~1 (for example) or search for mentions by typing in mentions:prologic@twtxt.net -- Enjoy πŸ€— #Twtxt #Yarn.social #Search #Engine

@eaplmx The number one (#1) problem with Government(s) (all? most?) is there is never any consequences to their action(s). So much corruption and illegal activities that would normally carry consequences of years of jail time, fines that would send you broke, don't seem to apply to Government(s) or Politicians.

If they did, they wouldn't do half the stupid corrupt shit they get away with in the first place and _actually_ serve the goddamn people they're meant to serve.

That's my opinion and something I _believe_ (hope) we can one-day fix 🀞

@abucci I've seen many many report of this too, and yet billions of dollars are still spent on this shit πŸ˜… Truth is, I and many others like me and those around me (yourself included) really don't pay attention to ads. There's this bit of an inside joke with my wife and I, where I can often spend months (yes months!) researching something before I actually purchase it.

Good luck trying to make sales out of me, you'll become a Grandpa before you get rich off me 🀣

@movq Whilst I agree with everything you said... That's just it though isn't it... Is "most" of the Web really that great in the first place? πŸ€” I mean Wikipedia works, my pod works, my website works, so basically I'm good πŸ˜… I tend to think the way @markwylde does here in that most of the web is utter garbage in the first place.

To give you another perspective... I run AdguardTeam/AdGuardHome: Network-wide ads in my home network as the primary DNS for all our devices. This is great as it removes all (most?) of the "garbage" out there on the so-called "Web". But... Every now and again, some random shit won't work, so I have to _temporarily_ disable AdGuard.

But at the end of the day I tolerate this... Maybe I shouldn't and just give up? πŸ€” (_sometimes I certainly feel that way, so i feel your pain/sadness, I share it_)

@abucci Well... What I'm thinking right now is this... It really wouldn't take much effort to do what I did with my gopherclient and incorporate similar features into this toy-webbrowser -- I _would_ have to embed the content of the web address we're hitting inside an <ifarme>, but aside from that I don't see why we couldn't make a simple proof-of-concept that just lets you browse web pages using a webview (standard on pretty much every OS) with a few buttons and a way to visit any URL.

@abucci I agree, I generally (personally) don't really need WebGL and all the other crap that browsers come with. I _could_ also live without WebRTC too.

I've had a few "goes" at _trying_ to put together a web browser (something basic) myself using WebView or QT and Go. This was one of my attempts: prologic/toy-webbrowser: toy-webbrowser is a simple toy web browser written in in Go using a cross-platform C/C webview library for rendering. - toy-webbrowser - Mills -- If you don't mind the "controls" being part of the rendered HTML view itself, then this _can_ be expanded upon. @abucci I _think_ the problem with HTMl is building any kind of rendering engine is _actually_ hard (don't ask me why), and that's not even trying to wrangle CSS.

If you ask me I _think_ we designed the so-called "Web" a bit "too hard"

@abucci That's the problem with modern-day web browsers. They pack so much "crap" that they're basically an entire Operating System (OS) really πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ There's this cool little project I found called The hotdog browser but I haven't tried it, it _probably_ is a lot easier to compile -- But since it's a toy and mostly the author did this for a "learning exercise" its probably rather "feature lacking"
