@lyse For passwords I have KeePass and I use it to store some passwords for some accounts. Like this one here. But as everything goes through a proxy, I would never do anything like online banking or sth related to health, money or others. Also, work is work and private is private. It is bad enough and a shame that I have to use my private hardware for Zoom conferences. /Hello Proxy :-)

I just received the email from our utility company. The whole story itself is actually super weird.
Preface: we have a large fish tank, 2 freezers and two refrigerators, some IT. Average consumption without people is about 6 KW per day. Basic consumption. Total per year about 4200 kWh.
In January 22 the electricity tax was reduced and we paid only 13 euros per month instead of 60 euros. I was not comfortable with this amount, so we continued to pay the 60 euros per month. In Aug22 we got our annual bill and guess what? We got a big refund. Around 400 euros. Yes, we were still using about 350 kWh per month.
Now with the energy crisis and all, they say they can't give us a new fixed contract. Everything is calculated on a monthly basis. This means that the price per kWh will change every month. The Dutch government is kind enough to cap the first 2900 kWh at 0.40 ct per kWh. This means a price of 96,66 Euro per month. For the next 1300 kWh we don't know yet what we have to pay. 1 / 2

Problems with my DNS were preventing me to do stuff on my homelab. So I switched DynDNS from inwx.com to desec.io. Much, much better, faster and easier to set up. Awesome! Also, the CNAME entries work much faster than with INWX. But maybe the things with INWX just need to spread a bit longer.

Sooo Time to go to bed! Did a lot of research on the new MacBook Air M2 colors and the performance. And I might end up buying the silver one, with 8/10/16/512, so it can last again another 9 years. The midnight and starlight colors seem to be nice, but I am super happy with the silver MBA from 2013 which has not stains or color change over the years.
