@movq I continued ripping wallpaper off the ceiling. And then started on pulling down the lose render (or whatever it is called) as well. It was a miracle that it stayed up on its own.

@movq@prologic Indeed, I missed them. Hmm, maybe your rotation strategy could be adjusted slightly, so that you keep let's say the ten most recent items in your main feed and only rotate the rest. That would help crappy clients that don't adhere to the spec. Such as tt.
@prologic The woman on the tall bench is a bronze sculpture cast in a nearby art foundry. The artwork goes by the name of "Frau mit rotem Kleid", in English "Woman with red dress" by Ludwig Bauer in 2004. But it was moved much later to the current location. I saw her sitting in front of the foundry. Somebody put a scarf around her neck a couple of days ago which I find quite funny.

The footstool worked like a charm. It was the perfect height. The platform size wasn't actually too small as I thought it might. It wouldn't hurt if it was bigger, but transporting this was very easy, the bigger sheet would not have fit in the trunk. I also added more photos in case somebody is interested in the crude but functional joinery.
@homer@prologic Thanks! Woodworking is a nice hobby I started after watching Matthias Wandel on YouTube for several years. I thought, it's sooo fucking cool, I wanna do this, too. Unfortunately, I spend too much time on other (mostly useless) stuff.
Alright, check this out. Flipped over footstool I dug through my lumber rack and sort of quickly throw together this footstool out of scraps. Tomorrow, I have to flushtrim the diagonals and screw them in place. They're just glued at the moment. The footstool doesn't look nice but it doesn't have to be. It only needs to be ridgid, which it is. Looking forward to use my new 40 cm tall helper. In hinsight I probably should have used the bigger sheet of particle board to get more walking area. Let's see, at least it's bigger than my shorter footstool I used yesterday. Another photo.

@off_grid_living I can relate to that very well. Each summer camp the children built huts in the woods with handtools only. We custodians (not sure what's the proper English term) set up a scenery for the daily theater play and the kids to play in. Really great fun nailing things together, but also tiring. Four hours of scraping wallpaper off the ceiling and ripping down a styrofoam ceiling took its toll: Giant blisters on both palms from the putty knife. I could feel them in the shower just now. The spray bottle's head disintegrated just enough so that it leaked water that ran down my sleeve all the time. Very annoying. Tomorrow I need to build a taller stool to continue more comfortably on Monday.
@movq@prologic Yes, exactly. It's sick, no question about that (probably asscovering, making sure people understand licensing, I dunno). On the other hand, hey, at least it's somehow possible. :-S

@jlj Didn't read the article, but your quotes seem to be spot on. That's what I experience as well. There might be a slight change, though. Contributing back to upstream now seems to be a tiny bit easier than it used to be from what I grasp. But I personally haven't done that so far. There was no opportunity so far. And I still have to do the mandatory special training which allows me to do so.
@fastidious The weather report claims 99% humidity, which sounds about right to me if I look out the door. Fog. This afternoon was maybe 60-70% I think. It doesn't compare to your climate. Haha, lol! @fastidious I agree, the font is a bit too tall and some slides are changing a tad too quickly. Likes are not only just not recorded, they are even non-existent. I suggest to replace the "sign up" with "operate your own server", or at least add it. That would be more in the spirit of Twtxt. And the meta question is, do people actually wanna watch such a video? I certainly wouldn't, I don't give a shit about ads in general. Also most often not on things I truely consider myself a fan of. But maybe that's just me.
No, @prologic, that's what I heard as well. Several studies show that protection is better if you use a different vaxx for the booster, just as @ionores said. Not sure, though, what happens once you're through all the different vaccines one day.

@fastidious Menus also degrade keyboard navigation such as f in Tridactyl, in case somebody cares about that. Might be okay for less frequently used operations, such as edit and delete, however, introducing a second step for reply and fork is probably very annoying.
