indeed. latin is one of handful of root languages that waters the downstream flowers of linguistics.it's quite troubling when
authorities try to flex by googling smart-sounding latin quotes and interject them into a modern english conversation. what's even more troubling for them is when i start speaking conversational latin in response.at least my education is not totally akin to lighting money on fire. :-)
