@prologic highly recommend using CyberChef for this!
@adi you don't need to. There are two files. One is special.
@justamoment interesting fix! I hadn't come across this. What browser are you using out of curiosity?

> simplicity and flexibility

I'll give you flexibility but simple it is not 😂
I swear that I fix one thing in CSS and another issues rears its ugly head. Tomorrow is another day I guess...
@novaburst make sure you let your Poderator know to update their pod instance to the latest version.

Updates usually contains quite a number of CSS fixes. In the meantime let me know what Chromium version that particular browser users.
@novaburst as somebody who had to migrate 40 accounts, create new Microsoft accounts for each etc., it is such an strange move. I can see why they're doing it, but they should have just let pre-existing accounts be and have new Minecraft accounts be associated with Microsoft.
@prologic It is decentralised from my understanding. You have to setup your own SMP server which doesn't seem that difficult. Famous last words 😂

I'm gonna have a crack at it this weekend, I'll let you know if I'm successful hahaha
@prologic We could have a external redirect message that states this is a link outside of this pod. I've seen that type of thing implemented on other services like Steam.
@justamoment come and work on UIUX with me! 😇
@prologic Thought of you when I saw this! 😅 SimpleX Chat
Does anybody have a spare couple of bucks? 🤣
> creates an image gallery
> doesn't show what it looks like

Hahaha I kid, but also it's probably also good to display what it looks like! 😅
@prologic well so far so good. Running @0ada09aa 👍
@screem

Wow somehow this GIF got compressed super badly... but I guess it just adds to the animation of CSS 😂
@screem

Finally, a nice sunny day! Time to get some washing done today I guess... 😂
@prologic There are two PRs in queue that I want to get out of the way first. Will probably need a hand with those.

What a god damn fucking week this has been, like holy shit, I didn't think this week would end.
@prologic I know we said no major changes for 0.13 but who are we kidding 😅

Let's see if we can do a rough implementation of links/pages tonight. It should be fairly straightforward if we just have the option for Yarn.social pods.

Links in the twtxt spec. is another thing entirely.
@prologic that is so good! I'll definitely check that out! Looks like a fantastic alternative!

🎵 Here are the beehives but where are the bees? 🎵 🤣
Oh no... I think I've caught the iOS Shortcut bug. Now I've automated a few things like pasting stuff to my bin, encoding files, send me my server updates and starts my bluetooth and music when I get into my car!

However I came across this interesting project, does anybody else run automated stuff? Huginn
@jlj not at all! There is a custom CSS section created for poderators to adjust their own pod stuff without the requirements of doing what you said.
@screem RFC 2549 👌
@jlj use the custom css to change #podlogo height to match your svg logo. 👍

There is probably a way to do this for all pods regardless of their logo size though.
@prologic haha it was worth it. The last two posts were from this shortcut. I know I'll find it handy at times for random thoughts and image uploads! 😅

Not sure if there is anything similar for Android systems though.
For anybody who thought it was a great idea to develop scripting in Apple Shortcuts should go under some deep therapy.

It is one of the most laggiest apps I have ever had the displeasure of using. It also drained my battery quite significantly whilst using it.

1/5 stars. Would not recommend.
This is Buddy. He has been in my life for almost 2 years and he's one of my best friends in the whole world. ❤️
@prologic You can try Russian.
@prologic I too use AdGuardDNS however I also use it with unbound. 👍
So it's currently raining non-stop we have some severe flooding happening where I am.

Absolutely crazy with no end in sight... This is one of the bridges with the water rising out of the road and cracking of the road. Insane.

The local shopping centre!
@david bring back the good ol' days before search engines. Curated, searchable, and categorised websites.

Bring back dmoz, the directory of internet stuff.

I also miss webrings. That was a great internet discovery tool haha!
Oh hey, if you're reading this then my test actually worked. That's always a good sign.

Hey you there!

Now that I have your attention...

I am asking all of those who follow me to take part in a great UX discussion happening at this link right here!

If you're not comfortable stating stuff there, please reply here with your ideas great or small.

All of us will benefit from great ideas. So don't be afraid to shout it out loud.

Thank you in advance to everyone! Looking forward to reading them all! ❤️=
I'm very surprised that it works myself.
Oh wow! Footnotes! What is this wizardry? How did you do this?

Yarn. The first social platform to integrate Harvard, Chicago, MLA, and APA referencing?
Thanks @adi that makes me quite happy to hear! 😁
@movq "I do what I want" scheme.

I can't figure it out either.
@prologic oooh! Now that's one heck of a storage unit.

A cool $300k. Might need to consult my financial manager for that. 🤣
@prologic that site is dead Jim.

I know Aus internet is slow but this isn't working for me at all. 😅
And that zoom is great partly because of how good the font rendering and display scaling works on MacOS.
@stigatle you too! Hopefully it doesn't disappear so quickly like the last one...
@david Safari web push notifications and PWA shortcuts hopefully! 🤞😂
Also just a heads up iOS 15.4 allows you to change the default camera app on the lockscreen 👌
@hacker-news I always find it interesting how they always talk about the underlying system and how it runs and their configuration.

However they completely miss the point when it comes to unique features of MacOS. It's ability to handle font rendering perfectly (opinion). Product-line integration. Proper screen scaling, text-to-voice options, and other accessibility options.

And last but not least, which is totally optional (and alternatives are around), commercial software availability.
@prologic wow! Such a simple concept. Gath looks super cool! If only I had a reason to self-host it 🤣
@prologic It'd be easy enough to differentiate between feeds and users by where it originates from?

So in this instance, feeds.twtxt.net, could have a visual indicator.

While I was writing this another idea came to mind. Similar to a discussion the other day about users having a distinct/unique colour.

What if we had a user setting page that allowed users to "highlight" specific users names in the form of "user@yarn.pod.xyz" and a hex colour?

user@yarn.pod.xyz

Just thinking out loud 😅

@prologic that was so much fun! You'll have to let me know when the next one is on.

Regarding push notifications on a PWA, this is so damn exciting, it's been in the pipeline for years. I'm going to update to 15.4 beta over the weekend and seriously play with this... 👍
@prologic you'll like this! Conway's Game of Life viewer.
@prologic I use Retouch on iOS and it works an absolute treat.

Off-topic, another great app is QuickScan. 👌
@prologic he bears a striking resemblance to [Gilderoy Lockhart] (https://harrypotter.fandom.com/wiki/Gilderoy_Lockhart) from Harry Potter! 😅
@prologic I think it also allows you to stop certain processes from running on the local machine? I.e microphone.

I could be wrong haha 😅
@carsten 1800 channels? What the hell, is that for real? Do you have a 'random' button on the remote? 😅
@carsten usually it's a matter of finding a small hole somewhere that's usually the reset button and holding that in while powering it on.

If it's a plug-in repeater than you should have ~3 seconds to hold the reset button for ~10 seconds.

There should also be LED indicators to show you what it's currently doing.

_Otherwise threaten to take a hammer to it._ 😂
Wow! As in the spammer was creating nonsense issues for repos?
Sweet! The time lines up perfectly for me, I'll be in attendance. Shame it's using Zoom 😅
Thought this might make a few people chuckle... replace Javascript with any language really!
@prologic it's just as bad as what Intel is introducing with their Xeon lineup. Pay-As-You-Go CPU Feature
@david hahaha what a perfect description. Couldn't have said it better myself!
After having yesterday off and realising I still have a weekend is the most amazing thing ever. 4 day work weeks should definitely be standard. I'm always happy to hear companies and other places putting this into place.
@prologic time to grab on to something and hold on! It'll be very interesting for sure! 🤞
@david Chicken and bacon club sandwiches, freckle cookies, bananas, grapes, watermelon, cheese and crackers, and lots of water 😅

Freckle cookie!
What an absolute fantastic day for a picnic in the park!
Kinda reminds me of Jervis Bay here in Australia.
@prologic a complete mess... hahaha! Nah it's an event listing with attendance statistical data attached to it along with some other miscellaneous data.
@prologic Grey skies are gonna clear up! Put on a happy face! 🎵🎤
I got nowhere else to say this but here... 117 lines of Excel VBA to create a macro that take statistical data and pops it out in a nice report with some graphs... oh my gosh, if ANYBODY has to deal with VBA you'll know that pain I've been through today! 😂
She's still alive!?
Sway is 👌
@screem the weekend went so damn quick! It just disappeared!
@thecanine I got out of IT about ~10 years ago. Now I teach people of all ages about emergent technology, basic coding, and design. And on occasion read books, sing and dance, and perform for children hahaha! 😂~
@lyse a fairly big one. It was too high up to get a closer look unfortunately.
Why hello there Mr. Spider!
I've used the following for years...

Fedora Everything ISO w/ minimal GNOME
Select "Minimal Install"

Select "Common Network Manager Modules" for WiFi

Install - Reboot - Login as root

Install rpmfusion

dnf install linux-firmware gnome-shell gdm gnome-terminal nautilus eog gnome-disk-utility firefox telegram-desktop && dnf remove gnome-tour && echo "excludepkgs=gnome-tour" >> /etc/dnf/dnf.conf && systemctl enable gdm.service && systemctl set-default graphical.target

Reboot!

@prologic might be something to put on the 0.15 (or 0.16) roadmap is a separate feed for feeds vs users if you will.
That would be Jellyfin.

I used it all last year after using Plex for so many years. I ended up back on Plex and bought a lifetime pass.

In a couple of years I think Jellyfin will be great. It currently lacks quite a lot of clients and the android client crashes quite a bit in my experience.

However the one thing it does perfect that Plex doesn't quite have right is Live TV.
This is a test reply. Nothing else, nothing more.
Just another test post for testing purposes. Nothing to see here. Move along.
@eldersnake @prologic what about a single line statement as to why you want to join this pod with a poderator acceptance?
@prologic "So you can't own the precious physically, but you can pay to have your name listed as its owner in an online distributed database."
Hello. This is a test post. Please ignore.

With an edit. And another edit for testing purposes.

Third time is the charm.
@jlj this anti-work subject piqued my curiosity. Are you against working? Against working for large shitty corporations? Is it about workers rights?
I was told about this amazing internet resource today. Say NO to Smoke Detectors
@prologic holy shit that's awesome! Congraulations! 😄👏
@prologic what about New Zealand? Know anybody there? 😅
Plex + Xteve is absolutely amazing. Would recommend. 👌
Hey it's a public holiday today, might be nice to go out for a picnic! Oh, actually no, it's raining... Classic mother nature. 👌😂
@prologic Yeah good ol' Optus. I want to switch to Aussie Broadband though only because they offer static IPs haha!
@prologic hahaha nice! Only thing I can do with a rubiks cube is use it as a paper weight.
@screem it doesn't matter if it's out-of-date either... Mine is from about 15 years ago LOL
I get 80/80Mbps on a good day. I have FTTH which is nice. But on average I get between 40-60. I pay $110 a month for that... 🤣🤦
@movq easy fix, move to emacs. You won't regret it! 😅
@fastidious @prologic If this is what I think it is then it'll be an override. It'll definitely be a matter of taste for sure. We can set a baseline of what it looks like default on pods but this is again why we have custom CSS to subtly change appearances on pods.
@fastidious we're getting there! Hahaha. Patience is key 👌

Plus IS560 was before my time 😅
@thecanine work great for me! 👍
Ok so I found out a neat little trick about my iPhone. The little bar at the bottom, swiping left and right swaps between apps.

Ah it's the little things that make me happy haha 😂
@thecanine just because the majority of people live in a 'technological dystopian' future doesn't mean you have to. You can also explain to friends and family about freedom of privacy and that they still have a choice of what they can use. Be the change you want to see in the world by starting with your choice of technologies.
@thecanine @prologic yes! GIFs work fine in lightbox/gallery view. GIFs don't animate for inline 😂
@jlj I know it's Apollo right? 😂
@thecanine but... why should you need to rely on a 3rd party application to disable apps and potential features through registry hacks and local group policy settings?
