mkws today: writing a script to export a bunch of etherpads and incorporate them in my site. Lots of fun learning about awk's gsub to make sure all the links in the pads are internally consistent in what mkws will output; felt particularly pleased when this line worked as expected:
awk '{gsub(/\\/nfld.uk\\/[a-zA-Z0-9_]*/, "&.html")}1' parsed_master.html > final_master.html

Either way, it's about staying motivated to learn. I'm always on the hunt for recommendations; this one came via Tyler Cowen from Marginal Revolution iirc.
My reading has taken a massive hit since becoming a dad, though, believe me!
It's my understanding that this is the best of limited options when it comes to hosting ebooks for others; any counterarguments would be most welcome! :-)

Tbh, it was pretty useless, on my kit: it'd timeout on anything but the simplest translations. I'm still really hopeful about the project overall, but I've abandoned self-hosting it, at least for now.

master... Noticed a few hours ago that my pod was unresponsive, and, once I was able to get htop up, finally, I saw that the load was up near 31.00 where normally it'd be 0.31(!).Anyway, I've restarted on the latest
master now, obviously.

Doesn't seem to be based on any distro, surprisingly.
I didn't have many expectations, going in, but, I have to say, I'm having fun right now. This has kept my interest, and made me smile on more than one occasion.
I was just reading on their subreddit about big changes in the core team, though, so who knows where the project will be next year.
